Vienna - City Tour & Schönbrunn

Duration: 3 hours

This tour will give you an overall impression of the most significant historical sights of Vienna. Along the Ringstrasse we show you numerous grand buildings, such as the MAK, the State Opera House, the magnificent Museum of Fine Arts with its world famous art treasures of the Habsburgs and the Natural History Museum, the cultural district the MuseumsQuartier, the Hofburg (the former Habsburg winter residence), the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater. The highlight of this tour will be a visit of the showrooms of Schönbrunn Palace, once the summer residence of the Habsburg family and home of Maria Theresia. On the way back to the opera we pass by the Belvedere Palace, the former summer residence of Prince Eugen, which houses the largest and the most precious Gustav Klimt collection in the world.

Vienna Boy's Choir

Duration: 2 hours

Enjoy the enchanting voices of the Vienna Boys´Choir. Together with the Viennese Chamber Orchestra (17 musicians), who delight their audience with the unforgettable melodies of W.A.Mozart. The performance takes place in the Brahms Hall, of the Musikverein building, home of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, which is regarded as one of the most beautiful chamber music halls.

Concerts with Strauss and Mozart music

Duration: 2 hours

In the same place where Johann Strauss himself used to direct his orchestra from the position of first violin, the absolute essence of Vienna's classical music can once again be heard daily. The Salonorchester Alt Wien, one of the best-known interpreters of classical Viennese music, presents an evening full of Viennese charm with the lilting sound of waltzes, polkas, arias and duets, as well as operetta and piano concerto melodies. Accompanied by excellent opera vocalists and our enchanting ballet soloists, Vienna's classical music reveals itself as a living firework display for all the senses. Vienna Woods – Mayerling

Duration: 4 hours

A half-day excursion which shows you the most beautiful sights of the southern part of the Vienna Woods. Passing the Roman City of Baden which is famous for its thermal springs, we drive through the romantic valley Helenental to the former Mayerling hunting lodge, (visit of memorial chapel), where Crown Prince Rudolph together with Baronesse Vetsera died tragically in 1889. In the Cistercian Abbey of Heiligenkreuz (1133) you visit the medieval cloister which houses the remains of the last Babenberger. We then pass the Höldrichsmühle and arrive at the Seegrotte. After a boat ride on the largest subterranean lake in Europe you leave the Vienna Woods and return to Vienna. As a great addition to this tour, we recommend the new musical "Rudolf-Affaire Mayerling" at Raimund Theater.

Tour to Danube Valley

Duration: 8 hours

A full-day excursion, which will show you the beauty of the Wachau. Through this romantic scenery full of history and legends the Danube winds its way past charming old villages and steep vineyards. The old castles tell us about the former importance of this trade- and trafficway, one of them - Dürnstein - especially famous, because here King Richard Lionheart was imprisoned, while waiting for his ransom to arrive from England, raised by his faithful Minstrel Blondel. During a romantic boat-trip the history comes alive. The heart of the Wachau is the old wine-merchants’ town Krems. The highlight of this excursion will be the visit of the Benedictine abbey of Melk, one of Austria´s most famous Baroque buildings, which together with the Wachau area, won the award for "Best Historic Destination of the World" in 2008.

Tour to Salzburg

Duration: 1 day

On our way to Mozart‘s town of birth you become acquainted with the beautiful Salzkammergut landscape with its mountains and its numerous lakes, where the Emperor Franz Joseph and his family used to spend their holidays. Skirting the Lake Fuschl and Lake Wolfgang you reach Salzburg, where you will have time for lunch (optional). The afternoon will be dedicated to a stroll through the old city, showing you the most important sights of this old Bishop‘s Seat. These are the Cathedral, the Festival Hall, St. Peter‘s Abbey Church and its graveyard (tomb of Mozart‘s sister Nannerl). Of course we will show you Mozart‘s birth place in the Getreidegasse. The Edelweiss-Song from the movie Sound of Music will come to your memory, while passing the horse-pond and from the gardens of Mirabell-Palace you will have a marvellous view of the Hohensalzburg Fortress.

Tour to Bratislava (Bus - Boat)

Duration: 7 1/2 hours

The excursion to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, by modern public transit bus begins at 08:30 a.m. The city walk - your guide will be waiting for you upon arrival in Bratislava - takes you to the picturesque old town. After lunch (included) there still remains enough time for you to stroll around, for shopping, for visiting one the numerous coffee houses, restaurants, shops or cultural sights - most important being the castle of Bratislava. At 13.45 p.m. you leave Bratislava.

Tour to Budapest

Duration: 1 day

A drive through the enchanting countryside of western Hungary will take you to Budapest, a city rich in traditions, situated on the banks of the Danube (time for an optional lunch). In the afternoon during an extensive city tour through the districts of Buda and Pest, you will be able to appreciate the historical and cultural importance of this city. At 5:00 p.m. we start the return journey to Vienna.
